Create your Subbly account at subbly.co and select a plan

Purchase your domain (Namecheap or Google Domains recommended)

Connect your domain to Subbly via DNS settings

Add the CNAME record Subbly provides. Propagation takes up to 48 hours.

Verify domain is live and resolving to your Subbly store

Set your store name, timezone, and currency in Subbly Settings

Connect Stripe to Subbly (Settings → Payments → Stripe)

Verify Stripe account is fully activated (not in restricted mode)

Stripe requires ID verification before payouts are enabled. Do this early.

Set your payout schedule in Stripe dashboard

Enable Subbly's built-in tax calculation or connect TaxJar

Set tax rules by region (US: state-by-state; UK: VAT; EU: OSS)

Test a $1 charge using Stripe's test card to confirm payment flow

Confirm webhook connection between Stripe and Subbly is active

Create at least one subscription product in Subbly → Products

Set billing cycle (monthly / quarterly / annual)

Configure shipping frequency if different from billing cycle

Add product images (minimum 1000×1000px, square crop)

Write product description: what's in the box, when it ships, who it's for

Set inventory rules if applicable (limited vs. unlimited)

Create any bundle or tier variants (e.g. Basic / Premium)

Set cutoff date for new subscribers entering the current cycle

This determines which subscribers get the current month's box vs. next month's.

Enable or disable free trials if offering one

Test the full subscribe → checkout → confirmation flow end-to-end

Upload logo (PNG with transparent background, min 400px wide)

Set brand colors in Subbly theme settings

Upload or select fonts that match your brand

Build or customize your Homepage

Build your Product/Subscribe page with full details

Create an About page (brand story + founder credibility)

Create FAQ page (billing, shipping, cancellation, what's in the box)

Create Contact page with response time expectation

Add Terms of Service (cover auto-renewal and cancellation policy)

Add Shipping Policy (processing time, carriers, regions served)

Add Refund/Cancellation Policy (clear and specific)

Set up 404 page with CTA back to homepage or subscribe page

Configure transactional emails in Subbly → Emails

Customize: Welcome email (sent on subscribe)

Customize: Order confirmation email

Customize: Shipping notification email

Customize: Failed payment email (critical — this recovers revenue)

Customize: Cancellation email (include a win-back offer)

Customize: Renewal reminder email (sent 3 days before rebill)

Connect Klaviyo or Mailchimp if using external email marketing

Complete full checkout with a real card (then refund)

Confirm order appears in Subbly dashboard

Confirm welcome email delivered to inbox (not spam)

Check store on mobile (iOS Safari + Android Chrome)

Check store on desktop (Chrome, Firefox, Safari)

Click every nav link and confirm no 404 errors

Confirm SSL certificate is active (padlock in browser bar)

Verify all legal pages are linked in the footer

Check page load speed at PageSpeed Insights (target: 80+ mobile)

Set up Google Analytics 4 or Meta Pixel if running paid ads

Set up Google Search Console and submit your sitemap

Remove any 'Coming Soon' or password protection from the store

Announce on all social channels with your subscribe link

Post in relevant Facebook groups and Reddit communities

Email your waitlist or existing audience

Set up a launch discount code in Subbly if using one
